UIF Maternity benefit paid me R3000 and been working for 10 years, been paying uif since

I'm so disappointed at the department of Labour process, ********* and small amounts they've been paying me with no explanation. I app**** for maternity benefit when I went for maternity 4 months ago...mind you I haven't been receiving a salary for 4 months and only relying on the uif. To date I've only received 380 which they said it was for one day and app**** for continuity of benefit and they paid me 3000 today. I have been working since 2007 and been paying my uif since I.started working and to be insulted with 3380 is an insult. I have to be stressed raising a newborn with no income for 4 months and when they finally paid after 4 months they pay me this much? I'm so disappointed at the system..the government has failed us south African in south Africa. They portray and pretend to be for us and assist where they do nothing and infact cause us inconvenience. It's the same government who made a new law on maternity leave that companies are not obliged to pay us new mothers while on maternity. I'm so frustrated and so disappointed and asking why am i contributing towards uif...this is ridiculous and insulting me as a person
