UIF just a **** in SA

My husband was retrenced in September 2020, and put in a UIF claim. It is months later and he has received no payment. All the correct documents were submitted, and months later still nothing. (Paid a lawyer to help us, and app**** online with correct docs) Why has he paid 15 years for unemployment, and then he cant get back what belongs to him when he needs it most. Just wrong!! Then they want to make your uif deduction compolsary? Just theft!
