UIF horrible service and unprofessional

My husband recently passed. We were married Islamic Law (Nikkah). The 1st time I went to apply I was given documents to complete and return with supporting documents. I returned a week later with the requested completed documents as well as supporting documents and sent to room 112, where I set for over 2 hours.

When my number was finally called, the lady told me that she cannot capture the information as I need to have a document completed by my bank.

A week later took back the completed document and this time I was told that they do not accept my marriage certificate, bearing in mind that I do carry my husband's surname and I need a letter from Home Affairs.

I never got married at home affairs, I have a marriage certificate in accordance with sunni Muslim law.

I was told that they will not accept it and that it will be rejected.

I need a way forward as I now that Muslim marriages are recognized.
