UIF doesnt give a single **** about anyone submitting a claim

I submitted a claim for uif (not ters or maternity) on the 6th of October 2020. The date of this review is now the 15th of February. I have since not received a single form of communication from the UIF department. This has been going on for 6 months. Why the hell does the country have a UIF if it's not willing to actually pay out the citizens of South Africa that is without unemployment. I submitted my claim online and everytime I phone into the call center no one can provide me with any useful information. If I do hear anything it's 10 to 15 working days. That also doesnt mean anything because I never end up getting a response.
