UIF claim still pending 6 months on

I was retrenched from my previous company in June 2015, I got all the nessassry documents and claimed my UIF at the Marlboro/Sandton site in July - nothing seemed to be outstanding. I've been going back there ever since with no positive feedback or timelime of when I can expect any payment of any kind. It's been 6 months now. I did not ask to be retrenched but would have thought as a monthly contributor of UIF since I began working, a payout would not be so difficult- having not received a salary since June and not for a lack of me not trying, what must I do now or who should I call - that might even bother to answer their so - called contact centre?
