UIF Claim

Good day. My name is Palesa Pooe and in July 2020 I was retrenched. In August 2020, I app**** for my UIF at the Department of Labour offices in Brakpan. I was told that I don't need to come sign for the release of the money due to covid 19, the money would be automatically deposited into my bank account. I waited and nothing happened.

In November 2021 I went to go check the progress of my application since I hadn't heard anything in over a year and I was told that I need to reapply and I did. The system told me that I'm already late. In January 2022 I went to the regional office in Germiston, I explained my situation and they said I need to appeal, of which I did. Then I proceeded to go to the Nigel office in May 2022 to find proof that indeed I did apply by signing the register. An employee by the name of Benedict assisted me by checking my name on the register. He then gave me documents to go sign at the bank and I did. I went back to him to submit my documents, he gave me a document that authorizes the release of funds to sign and I did. He then told me that the money would be in my account in 10-15 days. Since then, nothing has happened. Everytime I call him he gives me the run around. I wrote on this platform because I'm out of options and I need help.
