UIF - Application Standard Processing

To the Director General / UIF Commissioner,

I am writing this with absolute disgust and utter contempt for the pathetic excuse for "service" I have received from the UIF. Your website boldly claims that claims are reviewed within 20 / 21 working days and that funds reflect within 7 to 10 or 7 to 14 working days of approval.

These statements are nothing short of *****ulent lies designed to mislead the public.

My application was submitted on 10 December 2025 and approved nearly immediately on 16 December 2025.

Since then, I have been trapped in a bureaucratic hellscape. I have called your helpdesk on 17 Dec, 21 Dec, 05 Jan, 10 Jan, 12 Jan, 16 Jan, 19 Jan, and 23 Jan. Every single time, I am met with the same, hollow script: "you will receive payment soon and your issue has been escalated.

" Escalated too where? Clearly, "escalation" at the UIF is a code word for "thrown into a bin and ignored."

Today is 29 January 2026. It has been 51 total days and 33 working days since I app****.

My status has been stuck on "Submitted" for over a month. While your consultants hide behind the excuse of public holidays, my bills do not stop for holidays. I am falling behind on my accounts and facing financial ruin because of your department's gross incompetence and blatant disregard for the citizens you are mandated to serve.

It is an absolute disgrace that a system built on workers' contributions fails so spectacularly when those workers are at their most vulnerable.

Your "7 to 10-day or 7 to 14-day" promise is a slap in the face to every unemployed person in this country.

I have already outlined my specific concern multiple occasions:

I have spent 33 working days being **** to by consultants while my payment request remains frozen on 'Submitted.'

I need actionable intervention!

My concern is that the internal 'escalation' process is a myth, as evidenced by my eight failed follow-up calls.

Who is the specific supervisor or manager responsible for the 'Submitted' queue?

Who can manually release this payment by close of business today or tomorrow?

Why is the system ignoring the 7-10 / 7-14 day payment turnaround time promised on the official UIF website?

What is the direct contact details for the Regional Director, as the standard UIF call Centre is clearly incapable of resolving this?

I demand an immediate resolution.

I am done being "escalated".
