U Filing Nightmare

I app**** for maternity benefits via U Fuling in July 2015 and submitted all required docs. I got an sms that my application was canceled due to incomplete documents. I called the call cetre for days with nobody answering until I went to Alberton branch in 12/10/2015. There I was told my application was not captured because my employer was not submitting the UI19 electronically. My employer says they have never been informed to provide more information than what they were submitting but nevertheless they will rectify. My application was then only captured by UIF on 07/11/15. I called to check on the progress and was told my application is being sent to an assessor and I must wait for 7 days for the next step. I called them a week later then I was told that it's not 7 days but 35 days which I must wait. U Filing is meant to quick and hassle free but it has become a nightmare for me. I have incurred so much debt because of the incompetence of the Labour Department. My 4 months maternity leave has come to an end and I'm returning to work but still no money. It is sad that pregnant women are protected in the LRA but victimized by the same organ of the state due to unpaid claims.
