Sad and disappointed
I made a claim on the 25 Jan 2021 and got an sms with this reference number Dear DIPALESA. UIF claim received. Progress on claim will be communicated within 35 days. Enquiries contact local Labour Centre . Case No : ***
Okay after a few days this is now early February I sent out the required documents for my claim to be captured and processed. Alright a day or so I called the tollfree number +*** to confirm if my documents were received and was advised attachments were reveived but they cannot open or view them so I was asked to resend them in a different format (PDF), done documents resent and received.
March - Follow up call again and documents are sent to the relevant department to be captured for assessment and due to backlog and staff working from I will get feedback after 28working days.
April - Follow up call beginning of the month as it was past my given turn around time but same answer was to me saying they shall revert back to me soon they have a bad huge backlog so I understood as we're facing this Covid 19 thing...
May - Called again and to follow up and update my banking details and Thank God that day my call went straight to the admin department were it was answered by Mr. Steve Tladi who confirmed that I was lucky that my call came straight to him, he does the admin and assessment, fine. I asked for Mr Tladi to confirm the claim documents they have and outstanding ones .... he said all documents were received and since I wanted to change my banking details He will forward me a bank form UI2.8 for me to take to tje bank and fill it out and get the bank statement and that was done and I sent them to him as he said I should that was on the 14 May 2021 and also responded to his email so say I have sent the bank form with the bank statement but got no response or anything.
The following week I did the same thing and sent a follow up email to Mr Tladi but no response okay shap.
June - I called the inbound contact centre spoke to a lot of consultant who all gave me different stories about the claim and later was told the sent documents from my previous employer (SMART) are not stamped alright got the stamp and sent back.
Fine, follow up done still nothing but all in order no mistake nothing.
September - I called and was told the PAYE REF was vise versa with the EMPLOYER REF NUMBER so I got that corrected for me by my previous employer SMART and I was told no mistake this time so from now it's being sent straight for assessment and I will get feedback regarding the claim within 7/10 working days.
Cool, turnaround time passes. I called now furious and requested to speak to any supervisor in charge and the consultant (Rudzani) who was assisting me tried hard to get someone from management to come and take my call as I was enough of the stories from the inbound consultants and I was told Ms. Nondumiso Mkhwa**** will call me back to assist me further with the claim.
She did call me back, we discussed the claim and she advised that the reason this claim is delaying its because the whole UI19 form is incorrect and mentioned that I need to provide the name of the company, address and contacts and a few things she mention but she said she will forward me an email with all the information and things to sort out on the form.
Got the email from Ms Mkhwa**** and forwarded it to my previous who fixed everything and sent back a revised UI19 form with all the information required from them.
Perfect. Now I called the inbound contact centre to request to speak to Ms Mkhwa**** as she advised I can call in and request to spek to her but I was not lucky to reach her....few days passes and no response or anything from the Labour department.
Okay now I get a call from Ms Mkhwa**** stating the revised UI19 form was received and she herself will take it to one of the assessors to have it reviewed and sure thing after 7/10 working days she will provide me with feedback...... w....a....i....t....i....n...g and 10days passes.
Called again and spoke to a few inbound consultant who all gave me different tunes about the claim.
October - Calling non stop to follow up but nothing positive is given to me regarding my claim. Until I was that all documents have been captured and feedback will be given to me with 28 working days.
November - It was on the 18th a day the 28 day turnaround time were I called to follow up and was told an assessor has been assigned on my and I should check the uFiling....mxm
Few days pass by and now am being told there is a slight mistake on the UI19 form I need to get a correct employer UIF reference number since the one on the form is a SARS reference number aibo and now🤔
I send an email to my previous employer SMART and ask them to assist with the required reference number and Susan Nieuwenhuys assisted with it and I was told its incorrect I need to get a correct number which starts with 0607 okay as I am busy with Susan trying to get the number but with no luck.
She tried to get it from everyone from finance but same number is provided and she eveb advised me this number she has been working with it for a while now.
So now I was referred to Advocate Michael Msiza to further assist me to check the company's correct reference number. I sent an email to him and stated everything happening on the claim and he hasn't responded too.
So now consultants are now telling to me get an affidavit stating that my previous employer SMART is not providing me withthe right information for my claim to be processed.
And was requested to get a company confirmation letter stating the relationship between SMART and FNB then it can be better and after getting it to send back then the claim will be processed and I won't wait another 28 working days those were the words assuring me that once I get the letter and correct employer UIF number my claim shall be processed and finalised.
I got the letter but the EMPLOYER UIF REF NUMBER has not changed as Susan says there's no other number except for this one.
December - I called to confirm if the letter has been received and I was told yes and Bokang told it does not matter as long as I sent the letter so he will send it to the admin and ask them to process the claim as I explained my claim history to him.
So today I called in requesting to be assisted by someone superior from management but I was cut off 3 times by Thapelo after holding for 1hr 28min...... Nokwanda after verifying my details and Darrel kept me on for 29mins until it cut off.
Spoke to Thabo who advised me to stay on the line while he sends an email to his team leader and dropped the call that was around 09h44
Kindly please can I get urgent help regarding this claim as it's now giving sleepless nights now as it's been a year now trying to get help without any given to me.
Thanks
