Rejected uif claim

<p>I app**** for my uif claim on the 9 March 2016, submitted all the required documantation. I then received an sms on the 13 May ( after following up on my claim with the labour centre I app**** at,more than 3 times). </p> <p> </p> <p>I then contacted the department of labour's call centre and was advised that the claim was rejected due to the fact that I still needed to submit the UI 19 form from my previous employer. I then explain that the said employer ceased trading, a new company had taken over the business.</p> <p> </p> <p>The UI 19 form I had submitted was from the new company ( they managed to retrieve my details since they took ownership of the business). I was then advised by the consultant to get a letter from the new company explaining the situation. </p> <p>The requested letter was faxed and I followed up again with the call centre and only to be told that my previous employer never gave notice that they had closed business. </p> <p> </p> <p>I really need help with this matter as I cannot get the required document as the company does not exist anymore.</p> <p>My case number is ********** 7508.</p> <p> </p> <p>K Letsimo</p>
