Non payment of UIF

I was forced to retire in Feb'21 due to payroll being outsourced by the company who bought out the company I worked for. My claim was submitted in early Mar'21. I have worked and paid UIF contributions since 1987 up to Feb'21, with the exception of 4 months in 2000. To date I have still not received a cent. Surely this is not right? With the exception of 2 TERS payments at the beginning of the lock down in 2020 , I have never claimed anything from UIF. Can someone at DOL please explain why after claiming in March 2021 have I not received 1 cent as at 13 June 2022. This is shocking lack of service.
