No feedback on UIF claim

10/02/2016.<br> <br> My wife went to the UIF offices in January 2016 to claim her maternity benefits.<br> After sitting for 5 hours in the queue she was assisted and told that all papers are completed and that payment will happen soon.<br> <br> One month later and still no payment received.<br> The Kempton express, our local newspaper is full with complaints about poor follow up and payments from the UIF department. The telephone numbers are not being answered. It is mandatory to contribute to UIF if you earn a salary. It should also be mandatory for the UIF deparment to deliver service to its clients.<br>
