My plight for assistance

Good day I was retrenched at my previous employer in August 2020. I app**** for normal UIF benefits in December 2020 and submitted my documentation in January 2021. My previous employee called me back to work 3 days a week as of December 16 2020 till Jan 16 2021. After which i was still unemployed. I called the UIF toll free number in March 2021 to check on the progress of the claim and i was told that they are still awaiting my documentation. I app**** for these benefits online and submitted all documentation via the portal link provided but nevertheless i submitted once more. Since then i have submitted the same documentation 4 times. I have been calling the hlepline on a regular basis and was told today that my documentation was only captured on the 6TH September.............about a week ago!!!!! I was also told that i do not qualify for UIF as i had resigned..............I am so sick and tired of being taken for a ride by the government of my country. I am a hard working South African citizen who has worked for the last 26 years and has not even once app**** for UIF (not even maternity benefits) up until when i was retrenched and i had no choice but to do so. UIF is a means of assistance when people require it the most, instead our government is handing out R350 relief benefit to millions of people who have never worked a day in their lives and hard working South Africans who are left unemployed due to the Corona Virus pandemic is left to starve without even a thought. What is the purpose of UIF if South African citizens cannot reap the benefit of this fund but is required to pay the fund religiously. NOT FAIR.................... Each day i call the toll free helpline i get a different answer and a different person who cannot answer any of the questions that i have. Why do you employ uneducated people who is of no use at all and who probably does not have any LABOUR related knowledge???? For the millions of South Africans in the same position as i, i have no words to comfort you nor myself. I feel completely let down by this government and i now understand why people migrate to other countries in search of better prospects cause i can tell you we aint getting any help from these supposed institutions who have been situated for the sole purpose of relief in the event you should find yourself in that position.
