Maternity UIF Claim

I am very unhappy with the way that a mother of a new-born baby has to struggle with a claim for her maternity benefit which she has the right to. But the UIF department does not have trouble collecting the money from your pay every month. Why does it take so long for the claim to pay out? My baby is already past 6 months old and I still have not received a sent. I have followed up with the Vanderbijlpark office and they just keep on telling me that there is no news. I have tried calling the call centre but there is no answer after hours of holding on. Could someone please come back to me in connection with my claim. I seriously need the money urgently.
