Maternity benefits

<p>I took my maternity leave on the 25th of August and I app**** for the maternity insurance fund on the 2nd of September case no: ********** 0582, I was told to come back to room 112 on the 7th of October with UI4, my ID and my baby's birth certificate. I went back on that date and I was told there was an outstanding form from my employer that I had to go and collect and bring back, I went and got that form (salary schedule), went back to the offices only to find out that my employer is supposed to email it and I must come back with the email proof, I went back to my employer and I did what I was told, on the 17th of October I went back to the UIF offices with the outstanding forms and I was told I need to come back after 2 weeks to room 112 with my ID, baby's birth certificate and the UI4 form. I went back to room 112 on the 1st of November after waiting on the long que and when I got to the help desk I was sent to join another long que at room 102 and I was told finalising of my application was only done then I need to check my payment within three weeks. what I dont understand is why was I sent the message on the 2nd of September with my case number saying that "my progress on claim will be communicated within 35 days" but in that 35 days nothing was done and why is my money taking so long to be send to my account when I did submit every form on the 17 th of October and why did they finalise my submittion only on the 1st when I have been running up and down and brought all they needed long before?. I am going back to work next month and I have never received a cent from the UIF while I paid it every month of my employment. Im very confused, frustrated and I have a lot of debts and a small baby to take care of.</p>
