Maternity benefit unpaid

I app**** for my maternity leave benefit on 28 September and I received an sms saying that I will be contacted within 35 days, on the 22 October I went to Verulam branch to check what was happening because status of my application was not changing. They scanned my documents then later that day status changed to Sent to Assessor until this day they is no communication from labor department and my application status is not changing. I don't get help when I'm going to enquire at department of labor branch. My case number is ***. I'm due to go back to work but I have not received any pay. This is frustrating
