Lack of professional and efficient public service delivery: UIF DEPARTMENT: DEPARTMENT OF LABOUR POLOKWANE

My sister Maria Magdalena S van der Merwe, ID. ***, worked for 7 years at Bela Bela Podi Clinic and contributed to UIF for full period. During May 2022 the Clinic was closed by Deartment of Health as the Clinic could not qualify for an operational licence. All the staff was retrenched. She is 60 years old and is applying for jobs as she is the breadwinner. Since her retrenchment she had a nightmare experience with POLOKWANE UIF Department (her hometown is Bela Bela) to be paid out on her contributions during the time of her employment. Since her registration at UIF POLOKWANE during June she only received two payments which is not sufficient to what had been contributed. She is experiencing endless frustration as a result of *********** employees with very little experience and answers to assist her professionally. The UIF Department, POLOKWANE, is just totally in chaos. This needs to be investigated and serious steps should be taken through drastic actions to deliver a professional public service delivery.!
