Labour department

Good day,

I app**** for my U.I.F somewhere in March 2020. I was then told that I need to submit documents for a company by the name of Lovisa. Never in my life have I ever worked for this company. I then had to go through all the hassles by going in to Lovisa trying to locate management.... So that they could give me Human Resources contact details. I was then told they can't give me the direct number but instead they can issue me with head offices number located in Johannesburg. I got the number called HR asking for a letter with the companies stamp on stating that I was never an employee for there company. She then had that emailed to me. I did a re-submission with all my documents online and a few weeks later the status of my application went from declined to approved. Then I waited and a few weeks after that I got an SMS from labour department stating I am now able to submit a claim for payment. I went online submitted my claim for payment as I was told. Then I waited and waited, but still no response. I them contact the TERS toll-free number and option one which I chose was for normal U.I.F payments/claims. Thinking I will get through to an operator... No.... Instead they provide an email address so that u can email your query. I have emailed my query to them so many times, and still no response. I then called in again and chose the option for TERS instead... Finally I got through to an operator. I was then told to contact a lady by the name of Erna as she is the one dealing with uif claims for the area that I live in. Contacted her and she said oh well they declined your application as she see's that I have worked for Lovisa. So I explained that I haven't and I did submit all the necessary documents regarding that matter so how can it be declined when they sent me an SMS stating that I can now submit my claim for payment. This doesn't make any sense at all. Anyhow she gave me her email address and I sent her the letter from Lovisa again stating that I was never an employee there. Still I got no response with regards to my claim. I then called into there offices not so long ago got through to reception and this lady says I really do apologize mam but currently there isn't anyone available in the office to assist me. Now I was extremely furious and asked her to give me the CEO's/Directors email address. I emailed and up until today I still have not gotten any feedback or help with regards to my payments. I feel this is all so unfair. The poor service they offer is pathetic. It's now July and still no payment. About two days ago I emailed them again but absolutely nothing. What the hell is going on? Wasting my time, petrol and airtime to call out.
