it's been 4 months since claim for maternity leave

It has been 4 months since submission of my UIF maternity leave claim and they are still processing the claim. They keep on giving me return dates and when I get there on these dates they tell me the claim is still being processed. I have even returned to work already. <br> <br> Worse, the number provided by the Sandton labour centre in Marlboro for claim follow ups rings continuously with no answer the entire day. <br> <br> What is UIF for if they take 4 months to process claims where there is a clear record of entitlement to the claim. Why are we forced to pay UIF if the department of labour cannot pay out claims during the time when you most need the claim amount.
