Ineffective Ufiling Claim Process and poor customer service from contact centre
I logged a uif claim on the 24th on November 2019 via Ufiling. I received an sms stating that finalisation of payment with be within 7 to 10 days. To date I have not received any payments. I called on numerous occasions and spoke to different consultants. I was advised that the claim was authorised and will be paid into my account. I called on the 23 December and spoke to Nonku who advised that she noticed that it has been a while and that she will escalate the complaint. She also advised that their offices was closing and reopening on the 2nd January 2020. I called the contact centre again on 3rd January 2020, spoke to Matlatzi who said there was a problem with the system in December so backlog of payments will be done. I called again on the 7th January 2020, spoke to Bokamoso Machika who advised that I needed to submit a 3 month bank statement prior to my termination of employment. I sent the statement and thereafter followed up with a call to ensure all was in order. She advised that the statement was received and that she will print and submit to finance. I called this morning, spoke to Khosi Simelane who was the only staff member who did what she promised to do. She got her supervisor Julia Thwala to call me. I was advised by Julia that I need to do another payment request in order to ensure my payment will be made. I did the new submission today. I am very disappointed in that I called on numerous occasions and none of the agents could advise me on what the problem was. We are encouraged to do ufiling. I fail to understand why the system cannot prompt you in terms of outstanding requirements or otherwise send a message with outstanding requirements. Perhaps then there wil not be so many frustrated clients. I hope this matter is given urgent attention.
