I want and need my UIF payments how am i supposed to survive with no income

I rewlly don't understand why do need to pay or contribute to our UIF if we not gonna get the money when we need it, i claimed my UIF 6months back they asked me to submit more documents after one payment and till today i haven't received a cent from them, the is no logical explanation to why i ain't receiving my money instead they keep doing run arounds i visted and called the office several times with no luck as if this is a favour from them, which is not because this is money and this is supposed to help me while i am not working
