How should we know, what you know, if you don't know

I was retrenched in September 2017 and was only able to apply in 2018 September due to illness and a death in our family. At enquiries where the starting point starts to apply for UIF. I was told it was to late and that I had 6 months to apply. I left after a 8 hour waiting line for which 3 of those hours was in the cold outside. a disappointing out come. In 2019 I found out that applications can be submitted within 9 months. I rep**** in 2019 and my application was processed. Waited over a month no payment was made. I went back on the date I was given and signed again. I proceeded to wait the following month. I went back on the date I was given I sign for a few times. A month after that I went back on the date I was given. I explained I received no payment. Couple of checks was done. I filled out a appeal form with a affidavit.i handed it in and was told I had to wait three to twelve months. I went back in a month after that to do a follow up I was told it was lost or misplaced. I rep**** the second time and finally received my sms. So disappointing to know that there unprofessional staff giving out wrong information to people assisting communities out here! All the information provided from the department.

Heres is a example I claimed in 2010 for the first time I was in formed that a claim could not be processed if I have another in come from provident fund, pension fund or any other form of income. Uhm it make me think when do people apply when there pension fund is finished? I makes no sense!

Another example My brother app**** for UIF today 03/12/2019 and was told it can't be processed with a temporary Identification document. department of labour refusing a valid identification document from the department of home affairs is there a civil war going on that we don't know about is this not government bodies? does it make sense anybody not there we all work for the government work for us too!!!
