GOVERNMENT DOESN'T CARE

I've been paying UIF for 17 years. As a Frontline worker, my biggest fear became a reality and I contracted Covid in December 2020. I haven't had an income since March 2021 and in April I submitted my claim.

Since then I've have to phone back in 2-3 working days, then 7-10 working days, 48 hours and was now told to phone back once a week.

How am I going to look after my kids? It's been 5 months that I haven't received an income, but my claim is STILL with the ASSESSORS. WTH are they doing and what do I tell my kids now when they need something for school or food or whatever?

Sorry, the Government doesn't care about us. I'll have to try to make a plan somewhere else...AGAIN!
