Don't rely on UIF benefits

I app**** for the Maternity UIF benefit in August 2021 and my application has still not been approved. I've sent in all my documents, called in every second week and every time it's been slow to no progress. Every time I called my application would have to be escalated, or hasn't been updated from when I called in previously. How are new mothers meant to take care of their newborns without any money. Its very frustrating. If you're looking to have a child, don't count in the uif benefits to help you. Totally hopeless
