Department of Labour Vanderbijlpark - Disgusting service

In July 2020 I app**** for UIF via the website and received no feedback. I visited the Labour department in Vanderbijlpark on the 15th October. After standing in the queue for 4 hours I was helped by a very unpleasant and rude lady who handed me 2 forms. 1 which I needed to complete and 1 for my bank to stamp. I asked her what time they close and she said, "they closed the line for the day" (this was at 12:00). I could see she was not telling the truth because she hesitated before answering. Due to transport reasons I went to the bank the same day to get it sorted out. I went back to the labour department at 14:00 at which time there wasn't a queue. The door was closed but not locked so I went in. The guard and another lady (sitting and eating chips) informed me that they are closed! At 14:00 when the board outside says 16:00!!!!! He rudely told me that I must come back the next morning to submit my forms. I went back on the 21 October to submit my forms. After waiting for 2,5 hours in the line I finally handed my forms to a gentleman outside that was collecting and placing in a box. I was told that I will receive an SMS. I STILL HAVEN'T!! I am absolutely disgusted with the service from this department!

A guy standing next to me in the line told me that his friends app**** at the same time as him (in August) but they did it in Vereeniging and he did it in Vanderbijlpark he didn't receive the sms that they did and they collected their payment already!!! He had to go back to query his submission!

During this absolutely difficult time were desperate people need assistance these people who know they are going to get paid regardless of them doing their job are rendering absolute atrocious service!!

Why isn't the online system working in a time where people need to social distance? Why must a person wait for 4 hours just to be handed forms that could have been submitted to them in the line instead of waiting? And why do they say they are closed at 14:00 when the board AND online says 16:00?
