Department of Labour - UIF Claimes

Why are the maternity claims taking so long. Submitted a claim the 10th of October, still no payment. If you do not phone them and follow up, you will never know what is going on. Submitted claim on line, progress not being updated, no feedback. Mailed documents several times already, but all they can say, 10-14 working days. it is more than a month later. Isn't submitting a claim online supposed to go faster? Do you understand the fact that we as mothers do not receive an income for 4 months, 4 months without a salary puts pressure on your family. This is really the worst service you can get, i do not know why our employers are still paying UIF. Go to SARS and learn a few things!!!!!!
