Department of Labour - uif

In 2016 I tried applying for the uif at maponya mall yet when I got there I was told my time to apply had lapsed.

I firstly had no idea of who or where to go to claim and when I finally did get info it was to late.

It's been 4years since I've been unemployed and I really need to know if I can still claim my money. I tried calling the department of uif yet was no answer n in someway I gave up.
