Department of labour

I am not trying to discourage anyone but through the bad experience with this department. When I lost my job in March, I thought I will find something sooner, but with no luck, I ended up deciding to apply for uif in June. What really frustrated me much is the fact that I personally went to the office three times only to be told that they were offline. Option 2 was to apply online which I did and submitted what was required as per their request. It went on as I was following up on the matter, I was told that my case was with the pay master. I don't know where it went wrong. I was told that my documents were not complete. I did the ui28 that they wanted and submitted. Again when I called, I was told that my case has been handed over to the pay master. I was sure everything was in order. Little did I know that you will never get it right with this department. Another follow up again led me to be told another story. Now my ID copy and salary schedule were not there. I never knew about the salary schedule from day one. The ID copy issue is a mystery because I submitted it first time. Ui19, ui28 and may be next time will ui 50 which I don't know whether they have. When I called the last I was told that I was left with five days or else my application will cancelled. I don't understand why they have to tell me to submit the documents in bits and pieces. When they deduct money from our salaries, they don't even want to know who you are and all these sorts of verification. Now it's time to pay the insurance as it is supposed to be ( Unemployment Insurance Fund), it's now difficult. How many more people are going through this and end up not being successful? I am also not sure whether I will ever get anything.
