Department of Labor-Johannesburg Office Service
I don't think the Department of Labour deserves any starts at all. They give off the attitude of being entitled, the call center agents are not well informed, their turn around times are not what they say it should be and they just don't show any compassion whatsoever. They don't take accountability; I have been submitting my documents since April 2024, first my online profile was blocked, had to wait a month to be assisted with that. The call should be aware and inform clients that in these cases as soon as the client send their certified copy of their ID, the client needs to go to the office immediately. We are now in July and I had received a sms advising that my claim has been rejected, this is due to a consultant at the Johannesburg office not submitting or capturing my UI-19 form. I was then advised that my claim would be re-submitted and to date I have not received any kind of communication whatsoever, I have also done an appeal and still no communication.
I am truly appalled by the service that we are received, it is disgusting and unacceptable as this is our monies that we are paying and now when it comes to claim stage it becomes a problem, yet the money gets deducted on time. This is so frustrating as I have been up and down to the offices since April 2024, my husband lost his job in May, we are living with my parents who are pensioners, and I am the only breadwinner at this moment. I did not get a salary for the month of May 2024, I am borrowing money all over just to get to work and to get by, I don't see how this is fair on me in any way.
