Death Claims Not Being Paid

The department of labour in South Africa is really a ****, how can they be happy to collect UIF from the employees but fail to pay when the person has passed. The department of labour officials from Cape Town CBD and Mitchells Plain to Aliwal North Eastern Cape they gave me wrong information regarding the death claim of my brother with no clarity of information. They rejected my claim as they claim it's beyond the time line but I was not. I made feather steps which led to submitting a appeal, it has be over 4 months where the officials told me it will take 90 days for the claims appeal to make a decision, which that 90 days has long passed with no clarity or proper feedback. I believe the department of labour in South Africa is enriching themselves with death claims that are not being followed up by deceased families. The cruelty of taking dead people's money when they still alive with no excuses and find excuses not to pay the families of deceased people when they go to claim. Minister Nomakhosazana Meth these are the difficulties we as poor South Africans who voted to be serviced at best has to suffer from the incompetence of officials and suffer the loss of their claims. Overall, my experience with the Department of Labour was far from satisfactory. I hope that they can improve their customer service and provide clearer guidance for individuals seeking assistance in the future.
