I have been battling for FOUR months to receive my normal UIF benefits. I am a pensioner and do not receive a pension until I am 65, currently I am 62. After NUMEROUS emails to UIF Support, UIF Filing, Western Cape customer care (who auto replies with a statement that says they will get back to you withing 14 working days) I have emails dating back to the 08 January 2020 that has NEVER been answered not via email or phone calls. I eventually sort help from my DA councillor for my area and was given the name of Oriyet Poovan who also never responded to my last SIX emails. I eventually turned to the Premier of the Western Cape Alan Winde and was referred back to the DOL Paarl where I initially registered. I want to say a VERY BIG THANK YOU to TWO AMAZING ladies. Rozetta Van Wyk and Tina Msebenzi. These 2 ladies restored my faith in a department that I thought had no concern or consideration for the public. Within TWENTY FOUR hours these 2 ladies did what numerous other departments within the DOL neglected to do. Remember we are in Lockdown and they are working on a rotation basis. Rozetta and Tine NEVER made excuses and accepted responsibility for the departments lack of service and dedication to the public. I SALUTE YOU ROZETTA VAN WYK AND TINA MSEBENZI and cannot thank you enough for your help and dedication. My prayer is that your DEDICATION and HARD WORK gets recognition . I have been paid out in full for all outstanding benefits. Once again, thank you ladies from the bottom of my heart.
