CASE ID: C-*** - Appalling service

CASE ID: C-***

Government department failing to resolve issue with e-service platform. signs of poor service delivery in the digital age. What is the problem? The system or the system administrators? who is to blame the Government?

I consider myself a good and patriotic citizen up until today when I realise that the administration of this country is anti-service delivery and progress. The only e-service platform that operates the way it should is the e-filing system the tax man uses to fill up the coffers, and deliberately fail the u-filing system that should equally benefit the workforce that pays these tax contributions when in need. Many women have to beg for maternity benefits until they return to work without receiving this service like they did not contribute towards it. This system is only working one sided. The reason the e-service system is in place is to reduce the pressure and congestion at the labour department but someone is not doing their work to ensure consistent service delivery.

I digressed. The call-center is operated with a high level of incompetence. The call operator asks verification questions and depending on how you answer you may be dismissed and referred to the labour department but if you refuse to be dismissed and demand accountability you are told the matter is escalated. I refuse to wait another 10 days on top of the 39 days I waited for correspondence only to be told my application for unemployment benefit is not captured and not assessed. There is maladministration going on and this is really turn good citizens into bad citizens. I do not wish to ever be a part of this system as an employee Citizen. I think you have lost me as a client.

I will be writing a review on behalf of every person I know with a bad encouter with the department of labour.
