April 2025 and UIF website doesn't work, hasn't worked since Sept 2024!

What a miserable experience! What a waste of taxpayers' money! How dare staff that work there receive salaries when they do nothing? Nil work ethic, no care for the unemployed but they receive their salaries regardless. Trying to avoid the endless queues and assist a near-destitute person with registering for UIF by trying to do it online. That is a joke - the website does not work! Error 404 pops up continuously on Chrome and Firefox. Tried on my Android and managed to get as far as the first page where one is required to veriify that one is human by CAPTCHA, which then never resolves, it goes into an endless loop of CAPTCHA, over and over and over and over! What *********** person got the tender to design this software? Any university software engineering student could do better - perhaps you should let those who know what they are doing try to fix your website? Perhaps you should try to understand what it is like for someone dependant on their UIF claim to have no recourse to getting what is legally theirs? Shame on the UIF team!
