I have been working since i have been 16 year's old. Never claimed UIF. I am 65 years, and was put on pension. I received my UI 19 from my company (County fair ) to claim my UIF that i paid in over the years. After registering on the internet, i went to the Springs UIF offices to hand in my form. Twice i had to turn around, because if the are not of line, then they say you must come back the next day. While waiting, i spoke to some of the people waiting to get helped. What was shocking is that some of them where waiting for more than a year. Other six months and longer. Every time they go back, they just get more forms to fill in. Why were our pay been deducted all these years, just ? Why do we have to battle to receive which is rightfully ours. We helped building this country with sweat and tears. At the end we just gets turned away. Do me a favor. Go and try to claim UIF in Springs Gauteng, and see how badly you get treated. I am sure that we are turned away, because there is more behind this than we actually know *******ion in this country is so high that i will not be surprised that, that is why we can not be helped. The right people must go and investigate why people gets turned away, and why we can not get what is rightfully ours. It is a shame how the people that worked hard all these years gets treated this way.
