4 months of being ignored by UIF!

Good day

I am writing this on behalf of my wife. In November last year I made enquiries about my UIF application for maternity leave. I was told to complete a questionnaire, thereafter my profile was blocked! I have been on countless phone calls to the Department and emails to unblock my account but no one can assist me.

This is something so simple to fix but each time I am told the below: 1. They do not have authority to unblock it 2. That it will be unblocked in 3 days.

4 months later my account is till blocked. I have only 9 months to lodge my UIF claim and we are already halfway through with nothing being done!

This is completely unacceptable by the Department as I pay UIF contributions monthly but when it comes to my maternity leave payout for money owed, nothing is done.

Please can someone with authority and the ability to assist me contact me URGENTLY to resolve this matter. Failure to do so, and I will have to involve a my legal team.

Extremely pathetic service delivery for a service we pay montly!
