Justice for all

My Partner and I are renting in the area called Makhaza,Cape Town.So at the beginning of November my cousin came to visit us for a holiday got assaulted by some guy in our neighbourhood,who doesnt know us on a personal level but because she was asked where she stayed andafter pointed my rental property and he started beating her up.swearing at her with all sorts of insults.we went to the police station and explained.police couldn't do much as they claim it is just an assault. And then said they will just warn the guy and suggested that we went for a restraining order against him.i went to Department of Justice in Harare and i was very shocked how an officer named Sabelo Mbewu handled my case with such unprofessionalism andhe was very rude towards me and my cousin.he told me that i wasnt assaulted therefore he didn't see a need for me to come and apply for a restraining order.so i asked him if he is going to help me or not because i wasnt assaulted and must i wait till im brutally assaulted or ****d or even ****ed before i can apply for a restraining order.He said to me that i know so much and that will get me in trouble.he i lost in there now im coming to his office thinking that im clever.he eventually only gave me a page that also warns him for only 4 days to not be incontact with us or our house.

Now the previous weekend my nephew was stabbed in front of my house by the same person and when i opened my door. He broke into my house from the back window took my Plasma tv,Xbox,Soundbar and all other small appliances.our clothes and shoes and 2 cellphones.

Now the officer again said some very rude things to me when i went back.and forensic easily confirmed the fingerfrints were his as he was previously arrested.

Moral of the story is people like sabelo mbewu forget how to do their jobs when they are inside their offices.i even contacted his superior which was not in the office for the rest of the month.

Im sadden by the fact that we cannot fight these crime alone and officers dont even meet us half way instead they are brushing their bellies waiting for salaries to come in their bank accounts.
