Worst service ever to get an unabridged birth certificate

<p>After being at Home Affairs in Khayelitsha in September 2016 to apply for an unabridged birth certificate up until today there hasn't been any success. I have went numerous times to the branch and have been told to wait but now the six months is over and I'm still waiting. I went back April 2017 and was told they could not find anything whilst I have got proof with me. The consultant that assisted me assured me that they have now sent it through and would get an sms within 2days but I haven't received any sms yet. I have been struggling with my sons birth certificate who is now in Matric and needs to apply for Varsity. He needs to claim for his fathers payouts because he is now 18 and he can't because he doesn't have an ID and for that I need the unabridged birth certificate. I will I pay for his registration fees next year because by the look of things I am not getting this certificate anytime soon. It is very sad that one goes to Government departments seeking for help and you only received poor service. I am not a person of complaints but this has gone too far now. If I had any other option besides The Department of Home Affairs I would rather go fo that. It saddens me that my sons dreams and hopes are being delayed by a Government Organasation that is not willing to help. Khayelitsha Home Affairs is the worst place ever!!!</p>
