Way for department of home affairs to make extra money on people!!

I app**** for a maxi passport, they charged me quadruple (R2400) because it is a second passport and my prior second passport hasn't expired yet.

I received my passport promptly but only checking after a few days that it was only 48 pages just like my normal passport. I had to leave the country for work purposes. I have sent numerous emails asking if the new maxi passport is only 48 pages, with not 1 single response to an email!

What a great way for the department of home affairs to make extra money on people!!!
