Waiting forever for change of surname

I have app**** for change of surname for me and my 3 kids at the Department of home Affairs in Polokwane over a year ago. My application came back twice and the last application was done in April last year. Till today it hasn't been finalised.<br> Every time I call I get the same response that it is still at the verification department.<br> My older kid just finished matric and he is struggling to get the drivier's licence beacuse he is still wating for the ID.<br> The other one is doing matric this year and she will be facing with the same issue if this is not finalised in time.<br> <br> CAN SOMEBODY HELP PLEASE!!!.
