Waiting for unabridged birth certificate from July
I app**** for my two kids unabridged birth certificates on the 22 July 2015. I received my youngest son certificate on the 02 September 2015, I was told the other is still in process. After waiting for some weeks I logged a call with the Home Affairs customer service. I was told that the case was urgent since this application has far exceeded its processing duration. The case number is ***. I waited for about two weeks then started calling again to check on progress. Every week I was told it is in process and should be ready with 10 days. In December I was told all the information has been captured and its waiting for print. Within a few days I should expect an sms for pick up. This was the same story every week through December. I gave up. Today on the 05 February 2016 I decided to call and check. To my surprise the feedback was still in process and going for print. This was the same story I received in December. How can something that was urgent and overdue in October 2015 still be in process in February 2016. How do we comply to South African Laws and Regulations, when the system fails us. What am I suppose to do now. This is a real inconvenience and gross incompetence.
