Utterly disgusted by Home Affairs

I app**** for my smart id last year December (2024) at the Pavillion branch in KZN, till today, nothing and now I can't do verifications for my accounts because they cannot link my biometrics with Home Affairs. I've been calling the call center, it's different stories every time I call, one it's because they need to verify finger prints, one day it's the photo and then one day, they said my application was only received on the 30th Aug 2025. They can't refer me to anyone else since they are not allowed to give out names and contact number or email address. No one seems to care, I've sent countless emails, if ever anyone responds, they tell you they will escalate. So basically, I have no identity as we speak. I have no idea how they can turn our lives like that and still carry on as if nothing happened. Home Affairs is by far the worst government I've had to deal with, they should be ashamed of themselves
