Useless Home Affairs

<p>I have been trying to obtain the new ID document by going onto the Dept. of Home Affairs web site. I have registered, and am then told that an OTP will be sent to my cell phone. This does not happen. I have phoned the call centre 4 times, and nobody can help me, and I am requested to hold on and eventually the call is dropped. I have sent an e-mail and am still awaiting a reply. This has been going on for more than 3 weeks. What use is there in launching a new system when it does not work?, and nobody at the call centre knows what is going on. Eish!</p>
