USELESS Department of Home Affairs South Africa

I have app**** a year ago for an unabridged birth certificate. Up to now, nothing has been received. I contacted my local office by phone and visited them personally. A lot of promises were made but nothing transpired. Apparently an sms was sent in October 2017 requesting resubmission of documets previously submitted. This sms was never received. Then a phone call to the national DDG, Mr Apleni followed. He asked me to send him a message with the detail and promised someone will phone me within 30 minutes. It is now a month later and no feedback, phone calls or birth certificate. An email to both the Minister and her deputy followed. They did not even acknowledge receipt let alone answer some question by what they obviously consider, coming from some low life!

BUT..... there are private companies providing a service to the general public. They charge about R1 000 per application and they provide the client with the documents app**** for within about 2 months. How do they get it right? I am certain half of their fee goes to grease some dirty little palm! So I refuse to work through them.

We all pay more than enough taxes. For those taxes, we are ENTITLED to get service from our state departments, not feed them while they sit in their luxury chairs and not do their work.
