The STOP on the already booked date?

Went to book for my customery marriage to registered last month... Was booked for the 24 of July 2024. Got there and find that an email was sent on the 22 July 2024 stating that we are not to be registered.... My argument is.... Why are they stopping the marriages that were already booked to be register?
