the service at Home Affairs is pathetic

I got divorced 3 years ago, I went to the home affairs in Randburg to change my marital status, when I checked after6 months it was not yet changed. I then went to the home affairs in Roodepoort and still no joy. I have made soo many calls, send through a lot of emails and I am still not getting any help. This is ridiculous really. I am now at my wits end. Surely it cannot take 3 years to change one's marital status
