The Home Affairs branch in Garankuwa opened at 08:00. It has been an hour and 30 minutes and we have still not been helped. I’m here or collect my ID and no one from the collection line has been helped. Their systems are never working and if they do they are very slow. When loadshedding hits, there are no backup systems. And when electricity comes back, their system takes up to an hour to run again. They close at 15:00 so if electricity leaves at 12:00 and comes back at 14:00 it means that people will have to come back the following day. It costs many of us a lot of money to come and wait everyday for nothing.
