Terrible Service Ever

My husband and I went to the Department of Home Affairs in Nyanga in early December 2015 to change my daughter’s surname from my ****en to my married one. I was told the process takes 6 months but I could come back after 4 months. I went back to their offices on 16/04/2016 and I was told to wait for the full 6 months as the change has not happened yet. I went back again on 03/08/2016 and I was told it has not been done yet and they have no idea why it was not changed or when it will be changed. I am getting frustrated now as that was not the information that I got when I made the application and I need the updated birth certificate to update the school as well as other important places.
