Temp ID is useless

I app**** for a store card online , everything went well and was approved. Apon collection at centurion mall Woolworth.. I went with my green ID book and was advised by management they cannot accept it and I cannot collect my card.. 2 weeks later I went to home affairs and app**** for my new ID card... and got a temporary ID just to collect my Woolworth card.. I went back to centurion Woolworths with my temp ID and was still advised I cannot collect my card..

Please advise what is the use of a temp ID if I cannot use it at all??
