I just want to say well done to the department of Home Affairs.

Great use of technology to make historical cumbersome task quick and painless

I renewed my passport and ID online on the departments website and went for the fingerprints and photos at my bank.

Yes !!! , at my bank , can you believe that.

Took about 30 min to register and input my details online.

Paid via my Standardbank account online

Made a appointment online with the branch at Century City via the Home Affairs website . They could see me 45 min later, popped in and 10 minutes later everything was submitted and done.

8 to 10 days from now I can pickup my passport and ID, what a pleasure

No more Home Affairs queues!!
