Surname change nightmare!!!

I am extremely disappointed at the rate my surname change is going. I app**** for my surname change in January 2014, Its is now 1 year and 5 months and my surname change has not yet been done or resolved, I went to the home affairs at least 15 times and I mustve called the call centre about 50 times and every time they just say they are working on it. I just dont know anymore, I am so demotivated. Please can anyone help me :-( I had to cancel my holiday which I paid half the money for and I could not make it because I could not get a new passport.
